The team noticed I was dining alone and took extra to make sure I was enjoying my time. The oyster, breast skin and meatball were all incredible and finished off with the Korean cauliflower. Can't stress enough how lovely the team were; absolute homerun.
Great spot to try some non-traditional chicken food types on skewers yakitori style. When i say non-traditional i refer to how us Westerners usually consume yardbird . We really enjoyed the food snd the help from our server. We really enjoyed the corn balls and highly recommend these!
Yardbird is loud and can be extremely busy, but my family loves the vibe, the music, the staff, and the yakitori is uniformly prepared well every time we have been, the cocktails are great, and despite how busy they are, the food courses come out relatively fast. Our favorites this week were the squid salad (so good we ordered another), the meatball, and the maitake mushroom, though I would say we loved every single dish. It is pretty expensive for what you get, but we think it’s well worth it and Yardbird is a restaurant we will visit on every trip to Hong Kong. I think it deserves its Michelin star and I always recommend Yardbird to people visiting Hong Kong.
We've had some great Yakitori before in Japan (a place called Wayiba in Kyoto) but Yardbird was one of the greatest places outside of this, every skewer was cooked perfectly and flavour was delicious. Chicken oysters was a highlight along with chicken and tail and bicep
Amazing food and good service. My favorite restaurant yet in HK. I thought the prices were reasonable as well. The only negative is that it was so noisy in there. They need to invest into noise panels to help reduce the noise.
Didn’t know that chicken could taste these good - though more on the pricy end. Yakitoris were cooked perfectly! Surprisingly our favorite was the rice menus.
Great food - the main is skewers and you can basically order any part of the chicken (including parts you wouldn’t think). I’m not overly adventurous but it paid off in this instance. My favourites in order: - Meatball - Bicep - Neck - Heart - Wing - Skin - Miso breast Also had the KFC (cauliflower) and it’s yummy! Highly recommend - you can pick full (8 pieces) or half (4) portion. My main gripe is they don’t serve free tap water - instead had to pay HKD 32 (but at least you get free flow water for that amount).
Great food, great staff, wonderful merchandise (Tshirts), but very very noisy atmosphere. It is impossible to talk, you have to shout at each other :) And please why is it SO COLD…
